Vijai Ho
Jai Ho.
The world is shrinking. A British made movie about mumbai slums, with Bollywood actors winning in the US of A. Wow. And it was not the only movie with an Indian protagonist to win. Smile Pinki won too. I have no idea why Slumdog won..I have not seen the movie...but I have heard Jai Ho. Rehman is his usual brilliant self, though I felt he has better compositions to his credit.....Anyways ...The British newscasters kept repeating that it was a great day for the British at the Oscars and the Indians did the same..Just like the congress took credit for the 8 oscars, Gordon Brown also preened a bit for the cameras....Now the Hindu groups can say Dilip Kumar did it while the Muslims can claim Rehman did it. In the end we all won...Rehman's excitement and terror turned to happiness and elation after the oscar win. I hope the previous time when he felt such excitement and terror (his wedding) also turned to happiness after the event.....There was no mention of the wife while the mother got the credit. But then we are indians..We are like that only. Jai Ho.

india is shining,ofcourse there is nothing new in the story but he treated it brilliantly by narrating the story through the answers the hero giving to the KBC questionairs.About Rahman,jai ho is just another number from him,nothing to be boast of compared to other tunes he had done earlier.You know, Rasool pookutty the other indian who got oscar is from Kerala,goosebumbs all over me.ha ha
see, i knew some keralite would say "a keralite won!"
hm...i think i have a hallow around my head (invisible).
a r rehman winning the oscars can be called an achievement by an indian
but not the movie!
secondly, i saw the movie and i have seen better movies...and these better movies include bollywood movies as well
i guess everyone jus wants to hog the lielight
even the speaker of the lok sabha interrupted the session by announcing the oscar win!!!
"national interest" it seems!!!!
